Stop it.

Stop it.

It all starts with a thought. A thought generated mostly from the words of other people as they plant seeds of their own fears into the garden of our thoughts. The sad thing is, we let them into our minds without any discernment or qualifying. Stop it and learn to say NO! to destructive thoughts.

The good news is, you have the power to hold every thought captive and stop the thoughts before they enter your soul and contaminating your subconscious.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Here is a short funny video that illustrates the effectiveness of two simple, yet powerful words "Stop It".

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

"If even God can and does make conscious deliberate thoughts towards us that are awesome, I'm sure we can think better of ourselves too!" ~ Eric Edge

  • When a new thought comes ask, is this thought based in fear or is it a life-giving thought from God?
  • If the thought is based in fear or scarcity, stop thinking that thought immediately. Tell yourself to "Stop It" and redirect your attention to God's promises.
  • If the thought is founded in life, love and compassion, embrace it by meditating on it's goodness towards your life and what your life will look like after its adoption.
  • Move into a state of praise, thanksgiving and gratitude. A grateful heart prospers much.
  • If your behaviour has been modified because of the acceptance of negative thoughts into your life.... Stop it.
  • Stop the behaviour and do the opposite - that's what repentance is; It's acknowledging you've made mistakes and you've decided to turn away from that negative and harmful state of being and re-aligning your soul with the way God intended it to be.
  • Practice good and healthy thoughts that build up your identity in Christ daily.

The Word encourages: casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

"You have been given the power and strength to say no to any thought that comes your way!"
